Restaurant Of The Week 2
Dated: October 29 2018
So the restaurant of the week for this week is more of a brewery, though they do have food trucks present to have food. We decided to check out Powderhaus brewery off of Chinden Blvd this week. It is a great local brewery that has a great selection of beers

I typically like to drink more of a darker beer just due to personal preference so I started with the Evans Gate Scotch and it was delicious. I definitely recommend. The wife decided to try something on the citrus side and had the Manmosa Brut IPA. Both beers were excellent and they had quite a few more that we will have to go back to try.

The Powderhaus does not serve food itself inside, its limited to strictly beer and wine which is all you need right?, but they do bring in food trucks that are right outside. The food truck of the night was Meshico food truck which was most excellent. We ordered two tortas to finish our night. I ordered a carne asada torta and Arielle ordered a pulled pork. Both were excellent and did not last long on our plates.

We were very happy with our decision to stop at the Powderhaus and had an excellent evening there. They were playing the Boise State vs. Air Force game on the big screen so it was a very lively crowd. Everyone was super friendly and I do believe we have found our new favorite spot to hangout with friends. They are also dog friendly on their patio and our pup definitely enjoyed that.

I hope you all enjoyed the article and if you have a free evening, I would definitely recommend that you try the Powderhaus for yourself.
